I think it's a spectrum. HSP is the 20% most sensitive. ADHD is the top 10% autism 5%, 2e top 2%.
These numbers are guesses because we are so bad at accurate diagnosis. And there are people who will defy these brackets because they are so very highly sensitive in one aspect and not another.
I know a lot of HSPs who have kids with autism but they do not. They are allot hardier than their kids.
I will give you myself as an example.
I have autism and ADHD and all the neurodivergences. I have Very, very high sensitivity at the body and the brain.
My mother has ADHD, that comes with high sensitivity at the body level. But she is not autistic. So she is ADHD and hsp. She could not and still cannot understand my sensitivity and thinks I need push through. She has caused me a lifetime of chronic pain because of this.
We should understand that sensitivity is not uniform. Everyone has it differently.
I think we need to realize there is sensitivity types at brain and body.
Those who are 2e the most sensitive because it is at both levels.
I think it boils to the fact that sensitivity drives inputs. The more sensitivity the more inputs you take in.
Having high sensitivity in one, mind or body makes you sensitive but can still usually fit into the world in some way.
Having it a both makes you very sensitive and fitting into the world is no longer an option, for many 2es.
I believe the most sensitive people are the most creative and they are meant for a different path. One our systems do not serve. One we need to serve to deal with the change coming.
My research is around those people. I believe they are the missing savants. But the somatic oppression in our education and work systems have damaged their ability to fully realize their ability. They lost their ability to learn somatically to cognitively.
Creative Intelligence and Savants are what I research. This is what my family is. We are all prodigious savants. I know how the savants function better than anyone else in the world. Because I am have it at a very high level and these are the people I work with. All the neurodivergences have high sensitivity, the variation between us comes from where it is at. Some of us have it in certain areas. I call them the small picture savants. Some of us have it across all the areas. I call them the big picture savants.
I am seeking those 2e with double sensitivity who need a different world. I want to build it with other 2es and our children.
Our very high sensitivity gives us unique gifts in spatial understanding and this has been repressed. But with the change coming this will be incredibly important and valuable and we need to cultivate it. I am creating education and careers around this. I have a podcast on it. I am not joking.
The outliers need to find each other and change the world. This is what has happened in prior civilization collapses and this what needs to happen again. If you did not know our society was in collapse sorry to tell you that. It is.
