From the cognitive that enslaves you.

The ancient adage “know thyself” has never been more relevant than it is now. In a world on the brink of unprecedented change, understanding who you are is the key to surviving as much as thriving. Take the time to know and like yourself. Seek peace in who you are and know that it is enough. Enough to navigate whatever the future holds, whatever the present brings. Because you possess an amazing innate knowledge that no one has ever told you about.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that intelligence is something we need to learn or acquire. It took me 40 years to fully understand what a lie that was. That most of what I was forced to learn was not for my benefit at all. The only part of me that seemed aware of this was my natural intelligence. The intelligence that was always there, dragging my naive self away from places others told me to go that were against my best interest. I was assaulted from every side if I dared to ask any questions about my internal conflict over the limited choices that life was presenting. Today, they call it PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), but our systems lie about this. We live in a society designed to strip us of our natural intelligence, making us more exploitable and useful to societal systems.

Sadly, they have been so successful that our natural intelligence is now something we need to relearn, rather than something we need to remember and reconnect with. The intelligence of our bodies and minds is incredible. The more sensitive you are, the more ability you have to mentally model all the possible scenarios your life holds. The more you practice this, the more you can use it as a guide. This is profound giftedness, and everything in our systems denies its development.

Our modern world has disabled us, leaving us with no idea how to survive what is coming. We have been disconnected from our natural intelligence by the suppression of our somatic intelligence. We’ve been taught to value logical reasoning and analytical thinking over intuition and creativity. We have been forced to rely on external validation and approval rather than seek our own abilities to use the data from our lives to model all the possible outcomes. As a result, we often feel stuck, unfulfilled, and disconnected from our true selves and deepest desires.

For centuries before, we were expected to be the blank slate that society wrote on. But now the opposite is true. The future is a blank slate that we can write on. We are facing so many conflicting and converging forces there is nothing to do but make our own future. As a creative intelligence researcher, I have been seeking to understand natural intelligence’s evolution from birth to death. To understand where we lost it and how to find it again. This is not easy to do. I can provide a multitude of reasons to trust your natural intelligence over conventional intelligence. But when I do, everyone gets upset with me. Everyone wants to maintain the status quo so they don’t have to question their own choices. Yet this is exactly what we should be doing.

When we are in touch with our natural intelligence, we experience a sense of flow and ease in everything we do. We see and feel all the paths available and the outcomes they lead to. We have access to our creativity and inspiration, that turns life into a series of possibilities rather than the locked-down paths our system forces us into. We navigate challenges and obstacles with resilience, trusting our own inner wisdom to guide us forward. We learn when and how to connect with others in an authentic, compassionate, and deeply fulfilling way.

This kind of intelligence is the foundation of all success and contentment in life. It allows us to pursue our dreams with energy and purpose, create meaningful relationships and experiences, and contribute our unique gifts and talents to the world in a way that makes a real difference. When we live in alignment with our natural intelligence, we feel a sense of vitality, purpose, and drive that is truly unparalleled.

The good news is that it is never too late to reconnect with our natural intelligence and start creating the life we’ve always wanted. The first step is simply to recognize the value and importance of this way of knowing and to give ourselves permission to trust and act on our own inner wisdom. We can start by taking small steps each day to align our actions with our authentic desires and values. The second step is to understand the patterns of life around us. They are there; we simply need to trust ourselves over the lies that pull us away from recognizing them.

While most people will admit we have been conditioned to such a degree that we are afraid of our own contentment, it is in our contentment we find all the good things about being human. It contains new passions and talents that we never knew we had and makes us brave enough to reach out to people we are drawn to. It creates experiences that light us up from the inside out. The more we pursue what we feel engaged with, the more we feel captivated, the more we find our true nature and path in life.

Of course, applying the wisdom found in our natural intelligence is not always easy. It requires courage, vulnerability, and a willingness to question and let go of old patterns and beliefs that no longer serve us. It may mean taking risks, stepping outside our comfort zones, and facing our fears head-on. But the rewards of this inner work are immeasurable — a life that is rich, meaningful, and deeply fulfilling, and a sense of connection and purpose that can never be taken away.

So if you find yourself feeling stuck, unfulfilled, or disconnected from your true self and deepest desires, know that the answer lies within you. Your natural intelligence is the key to unlocking your full potential and creating the life you have always wanted. Trust in your own inner wisdom, take small steps each day to align your actions with your authentic self, and watch as your life begins to transform in ways you never thought possible. With your natural intelligence as your guide, there is no limit to what you can achieve, and no dream too big or too bold to pursue.
